I thought that but, thought it was strange if that was the case this battered one would be used as a work vehicle. Strange seeing it right hand drive as well.

Recently there has been an older Ford Ranger owned by a guy doing construction on my route to the libraries.

Not seen another one of those (my first "car") in my almost 4 years here.

My best mate's Dad got a brand new Morris Ital.

He drove it off the forecourt, took a roundabout a little on the sharp side and the windscreen wipers fell off.

Another mate had an Allegro. I read somewhere that it was so badly designed, the drag co-efficient mean that it would have gone faster if it was back to front.

You mean you moved on to a newer and better model?

Me old one I wrapped around a brick wall in Hockley... flipped the car totally... seat belt snapped... head smashed against the windscreen... passenger side smashed to fuck (luckily enough the missus was on holiday with her sister)... oh 3rd party insurance if you were wondering....if that would NOT have happened I would still be driving it

My VW Bay Window T2 van will turn 40 on the 6th June. Still pootles around like a two-year-old. That's mainly due to the two grand I've laid out on new carbs and a top-end rebuild over the last eighteen months, but still. I'm enjoying the brief period of harmony until the next thing goes wrong. The brakes and steering have been fine since I've had it, so it'll be one of those two.
